Breakfast costs $5 each and is open to all. It's the last day for VFW Mayflower-Gamble Post 6695's first Man-to-Man sale at 1426 Mill St. in Plymouth. Vendors will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It's Canton Cleanup Day. From 8 a.m. to 11a.m. you can drop off recycling (plastics, paper, cardboard, tin, glass, oil, paint (limit five 1-gallon containers) antifreeze, batteries) to Canton Waste Recycling, 42100 Van Born Rd. Flipping, Over Pancakes, for a Cause

The scent of hotcakes drew a steady line of people away from their Canton Farmers Market errands into the Cady Boyer barn Sunday.

The Cherry Hill Village Homeowners Association sponsors children's activities each year. To pay for supplies and events, the association started hosting a pancake breakfast each year at Canton's Farmers Market. On Sunday, the association hosted its second annual breakfast at the Cady Boyer barn, featuring the company it hired last year, Chris Cakes of Michigan. Pancake flipper Trevor Muir delighted children and adults alike with his cake-throwing skills. Kristen Truong, a Cherry Hill Village resident and member of the homeowners association, said she hopes  the breakfast becomes a new tradition in Canton Township. One: Canton Farmers Market is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Preservation Park. There's still some asparagus and folks, the rhubarb is in, too. Two: The annual Cherry Village homeowners association's all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is on — featuring flipping phenom Chris Cakes at the griddle.
