Biggby Offers Free Coffee on Friday With Goodwill Donation

Michigan-based coffee chain offers free short coffee Friday for completed 'Dollars for Jobs - Pass It Forward' envelopes, Goodwill donations.

Customers at participating Biggby Coffee locations will receive a free short brewed coffee on Friday between 6 a.m.-3 p.m. when they return a completed “Dollars for Jobs – Pass It Forward” envelope to the store or make a contribution to Goodwill donation boxes on site. The “Dollars for Jobs” campaign envelopes are designed to be filled with dollar bills and passed from person to person until reaching 25 people. In addition, Biggby will donate $1 for every “Like” they receive on its Southeast Michigan Biggby Locations Facebook page during the same time period. Biggby Coffee, which has locations in Plymouth and Canton, is a sponsor of the “Dollars for Jobs – Pass It Forward” campaign, which raises funds for employment education and training …

Canton Shoppers Find Goodwill Bargains

Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit opened a resale store on Ford Road with a warm welcome from Canton residents.

Goodwill has brought its charitable deeds to Canton with a new retail store. The Ford Road secondhand shop opened Dec. 11 across from Ikea. Assistant managers Rick Pierce and Rick Hastie said business has been even more successful than they imagined. "Canton has been very good to us and very warm to us," Pierce said. "It's been fantastic." The store is filled wall-to-wall with everything from clothing to toys. There are easy-to-read signs separating departments, and lighting gives the store a more upscale boutique feel, which is what Pierce said they were trying to accomplish with the design.
