Canton Police Arrest Woman on Charges of Marijuana Possession

The following information was provided by the Canton Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Canton Township Police arrested a woman at about 11:15 p.m. Oct. 23 near the intersection of South Haggerty Road and Crossbow Circle on charges of marijuana possession, according to a police report.  The responding officer observed a red Honda, traveling northbound on Haggerty Road, run the light without braking, the report said. The officer stopped the vehicle and the woman driving it said she wasn’t sure what to do at the light, the report said. The officer said he could smell a marijuana odor coming from the vehicle, according to the report, and the woman said there was marijuana in the car when asked. She gave the officer a small clear plastic baggie of marijuana from her purse, which later tested positive for marijuana, the report …

Canton Police Arrest Man Accused of Marijuana, Paraphernalia Possession

The following information was provided by the Canton Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Canton Township Police arrested a man for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after 9 p.m. Oct. 23 near the intersection of Rockefeller Drive and South Scenic Circle, according to a police report. The officer observed a silver Jeep Liberty stop at a stop sign on Central Park Boulevard approaching Rockefeller Drive, the report said. The officer noticed the driver's side brake light was out and stopped the vehicle, the report said. The officer said he smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, but the driver said there wasn't any when asked, the report said. The officer asked for a second officer and his police dog for assistance, according to the report. While waiting, the officer told the driver he could smell the odor of marijuana …
