Breaking Dawn - Part 2, the final installment of the Twilight Saga, premieres this week in theaters across the country, and Canton is no exception. Breaking Dawn - Part 2: Trailer. Emagine Launches Large-Format Movie Screens

Canton location among theaters receiving IMAX-like upgrade in time for next month's 'Titanic' 3-D re-release.

One-hundred years after the sinking of the Titanic, local moviegoers will be able to see the record-breaking 1997 film that chronicled the disaster in eye-popping 3-D when the film is re-released. Movie aficionados in Canton, however, will get to see the film a week early and with the latest technology when Emagine Canton unveils its new large-format upgrade April 4, beginning with early screenings of Titanic 3-D. Emagine Canton, Novi and Royal Oak will unveil Emagine in E3 next month, boasting floor-to-ceiling screens, state-of-the-art digital sound, high-end decor, improved seating and crystal-clear screens capable of projecting both 2-D and 3-D films, according to a news release. “E3 is designed to 'one-up' what I would characterize as …

Favorite film opinions are as diverse as moviegoers, and this week is an ideal time to share your choice for which nominee deserves the Best Picture statue this weekend. We're interested in taste, not predictions. So click the movie you think should win, not necessarily which will snag the final Academy Award presented Sunday night. The Oscars show, hosted by Bill Crystal for a ninth time, starts at 8:30 p.m. on ABC after 90 minutes of red carpet arrival scenes outside the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. Redbox Kiosks Now Offer Video Game Rentals

Top new releases are available, along with popular family and children’s games, for $2 a night.

Gamers can now rent video games locally at all hours of the day and night. Redbox, the stand-alone kiosks at local retailers most known for their dollar-a-night movie rentals, now offer video games. Games cost $2 a day and can be reserved online for easy pickup at the nearest Redbox location. In Plymouth there is one RedBox location inside Kroger. Top new releases are available for rental, along with popular family and children’s games. A complete list of available titles is viewable online. Games are available for PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360. Redbox officials said the company began testing video game rentals at 5,000 locations across the country in August 2009.
