No money reported missing in fraud case.
Plymouth Township Police met March 19 at the station with a woman reporting credit card fraud, according to a police report. The woman told police she was contacted by her credit card company reporting her information had been compromised. The woman told police she was advised that a man had called the bank and said he was going on vacation to the United Kingdom and wanted the card activated for overseas purchases and made four separate transactions for $0 to ensure the account was active, the report indicated. According to the report, one of the transactions was for $0 out of Washington. Woman cited on charge of driving with suspended license; Man turned over to Plymouth Township Police on outstanding warrant.
While patrolling the area of northbound Haggerty Road near 7 Mile Road on March 18, Northville Township Police stopped a vehicle that had plates registered to a woman with a suspended driver’s license, according to a police report. According to the report, in addition to the driver’s suspended license, the passenger showed an arrest warrant for failure to appear out of Plymouth Township. Northville Township Police turned the passenger over to Plymouth Township Police at 5 Mile and Sheldon roads. Police impounded the woman’s vehicle and arrested her on a charge of driving with a suspended license, the report indicated.

Police cite woman on charge of third-degree retail fraud at Kroger in Plymouth Township.
Plymouth Township Police responded March 18 to Kroger, 44525 W. Ann Arbor Road, for a report of a suspected shoplifter in custody, according to a police report. The store’s loss prevention officer told police a woman had concealed several items in her purse while shopping, paid for several other items and left the store with the items still in her purse, the report indicated. According to the report, police recovered unpaid food and makeup from the woman’s purse. The loss prevention officer stopped the woman and escorted her to the loss prevention office until police arrived. Police cited the woman on a third-degree retail fraud charge.

Police say teens were damaging property, biting themselves, banging heads on concrete.
Three teens in Plymouth Township were hospitalized March 16 after what police said was an LSD, marijuana and alcohol-fueled rampage that included the teens screaming, banging their heads on concrete, biting themselves and damaging property. According to Plymouth Township Police, officers responded to the 11000 block of Parkview shortly after midnight on March 16 on a complaint of disorderly conduct involving three juveniles. Police say the teens were under the influence of alcohol, marijuana and hallucinogenic LSD and were out of control, damaging property, screaming and yelling and inflicting injuries to themselves by hanging their heads on a concrete floor and biting themselves. Tail lamp cover broken on 2008 Saturn Vue.
Plymouth Township Police responded March 8 to a home on Heritage Drive after a woman reported damage to her 2008 Saturn Vue, according to a police report. The woman told police she heard someone walking up and down the apartment building stairway at about 2 a.m. on March 8 and saw a neighbor wralking in the hallway toward the building’s south exit door, the report indicated. The woman told police she looked outside and saw several people standing in the parking lot near where her vehicle was parked and heard a loud “thump” sound and later noticed the driver’s side tail lamp cover had been broken on her vehicle, the report indicated. Police were unable to locate witnesses or additional evidence.

Plymouth Township Police responded March 2 to a residence at Newport Court for a report of a stolen vehicle, according to a police report. A woman at the residence told police she parked her silver 2008 Chevrolet Impala in her designated parking space at 10:30 p.m. on March 2 near her residence. She told police that on March 2 she received a call from a friend coming to visit who noticed her vehicle was not in its designated space and wondered if she was home. The woman told police she was certain she locked her car and that she kept both sets of keys in her possession and was up to date on car payments. She told police she does not have any suspects. Plymouth Township Police responded Feb. 27 to an apartment at Brougham for a report of a stolen Jeep Liberty, according to a police report. A woman at the residence told police between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., someone stole her white 2005 Jeep Liberty, which she told police was parked on the east side of her apartment building. The woman told police she never locks her vehicle or removes the keys from her vehicle, and that several people knew she always leaves her keys in her vehicle. She told police she had left the keys in the center console of the vehicle before she discovered it missing. Police entered the vehicle into its computer network as stolen. Police are searching for two suspects they say bound victims with duct tape during break-in.
Plymouth Township Police are seeking two men in connection with an armed house invasion at Halyard and Ridge roads, according to a news release from the department. According to the news release, officers responded at about 7:45 p.m. on Feb. 22 to the Oak Haven Manufactured Home Community for a report of a home invasion that had just occurred by two men armed with guns. During the home invasion, the news release indicated, the victims were forced to the ground and bound with duct tape. One victim's small child was in the home, but was not harmed, the news release indicated. Plymouth Township Police met Feb. 21 with a man at the station for a report of check fraud, according to a police report. The man told police between 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., someone stole a business envelope from the mailbox at his home on Ann Arbor Trail containing a check written with his Bank of America account. The man told police he had put a check in his mailbox at about 11 a.m. and, realizing it was President’s Day, his wife went to retrieve the envelope later in the day, but found it was missing, the report said. The man told police he contacted Bank of America immediately and was told to wait a couple of days before placing a stop payment on the check. Plymouth Township Police met Feb. 16 at the station with a woman reporting fraud, according to a police report. The woman told police on Feb. 3 she tried to withdraw funds from her bank account using her debit card, but was notified of insufficient funds. She told police her husband had just deposited a pension check into the account and that there should have been sufficient funds, so she called her bank. The woman told police the bank notified her someone had made about 15 unauthorized debit card transactions on the account she shares with her husband totaling an unspecified amount.
