Online Quiz Website Sporcle Buys Plymouth-Based Trivia Company
Great Lakes Trivia events in area now branded as Sporcle Live.
Online quiz website Sporcle.com has bought Plymouth-based Great Lakes Trivia, a company that conducts live trivia in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Minnesota, according to a newsletter sent Thursday from Great Lakes Trivia. Beginning Jan. 7, all Great Lakes Trivia shows at local bars and establishments will be branded as Sporcle Live, the newsletter indicated. Sporcle is a popular online quiz website launched in 2007 with offices in Seattle and San Francisco. According to its website, it averages about 9.5 million visitors per month.
