Canton Township Police responded Nov. 25 to Taco Bell, 45132 Ford Road, for a report of a payment with a counterfeit bill, according to a police report. The restaurant’s manager told police when she was counting cash drawers, she found three counterfeit $20 bills, the report said, which she told police likely came through the drive-thru, the report said. The manager told police she couldn’t pinpoint a precise time the bills were passed, but estimated the fake bills were exchanged between 11:15 a.m. and 5 p.m, the report said. The Detroit Tigers did not win the World Series, but because of a stolen base in Game 2, Taco Bell is offering free tacos today.
If victory is sweet then today in Detroit defeat tastes of tacos. Today from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Taco Bell is making good on their "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" promotion. The national fast-food chain, with over 6,000 restaurants including several in Plymouth and Canton, promised one free Dorito Loco Taco to each customer if any player managed to steal a base during the World Series.
