What every Plymouth resident — and Art in the Park visitor — should know today.

1. Art in the Park begins today throughout downtown Plymouth. Here is our guide to the event, complete with maps and events, and this story can tell you what to expect this year. 2. Heading downtown for Art in the Park? You'll notice there is no Music in the Air concert this week, but reggae band One Love will be performing downtown all day at Ann Arbor Trail and Forest Avenue. Please note that there also is no farmers market downtown Saturday. 3. Scream 4 opens at the Penn Theatre tonight. All seats are $3 and screenings are at 7 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. Parts of the movie were filmed here in downtown Plymouth. Here is a list of landmarks to watch for while enjoying the film. Plymouth-made Movies Show at Penn

Two movies with scenes filmed in Plymouth, including 'Scream 4,' are screened at the Penn Theater.

Two movies that had scenes filmed in Plymouth, Trust and Scream 4,have had screenings at the Penn Theatre this summer. Trust had its final showing last Thursday, and Scream 4 is screening this weekend, beginning Friday. Trust stars Clive Owen and Catherine Keener as parents of a 14-year-old girl who falls victim to an online predator. The film was directed by David Schwimmer. Scream 4 is the latest addition to the popular horror film series directed by Wes Craven. The plot surrounds the character Sidney Prescott, whose life has been repeatedly terrorized by numerous serial killers, all who wear the same ghostly mask in a continuing game of copycatting and one-upmanship. Thanks for letting me know about that! I was not aware of that film, and was just going off imdb.com's listings under Plymouth (of which there were several smaller films, too). That list was by no means intended to be a complete list, but some of the more well-known. But I will be sure to check out Word of Honor. Get Out: Five Things to Do This Weekend

Movie filmed in Plymouth screens at Penn; community garage sale returns to Plymouth Cultural Center.

This week we see a locally filmed movie premiere at the Penn, as well as some other summer activities. Where/When: 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday, 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. on June 30 at the historic Penn Theatre. Check the Penn Theatre website for more information and the latest times and showings. Why Go: Trust, starring Clive Owen and Catherine Keener, was filmed in Plymouth and is about 14-year-old Annie, who meets her first boyfriend online. She soon discovers he isn't who he claimed to be. The film, directed by David Schwimmer, earned rave reviews, including four stars from critic Roger Ebert. The film is rated R and runs 106 minutes. Pricing: All seats are $3.
