The creative side of Life, Neighbor

I am a freelance writer and Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT®) based in Canton, MI. As a writer, my award-winning stories published in newspaper and magazines have covered topics ranging from travelogues to personality profiles, from riverfront casinos to Marshmallow Peeps.

The write side of my brain carries over to my scrapbooking, journaling event stories and making sure that no photograph goes unidentified.  An extention of playing with paper is my love for Artist Trading Cards (ATCs), a mixed-media experience playing with paint and inks and paper scraps, oh my! All that fun in an itty bitty 2.5" by 3.5" work space.

Those creative, tactile aspects lead naturally into my passion for Zentangle. What is that? I'm glad you asked. It is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and impressive art form. Not an artist? The process of Zentangle will prove otherwise. Think: a full body massage for your brain. Since becoming a CZT in May 2011, I taught the technique to therapists, artists, teenagers and executives.
