ReplyA Michigan Country Store! It would be neat if someone could succeed with a store that attracts tourists and locals. A store that reminds you of a walking into a Cracker Barrel type store that sells "Michigan" products and souvenirs. Think of the types of places that make downtown Frankenmuth successful.

ReplyOur kids are the number one thing in our lives and quite simply, the Plymouth-Canton Schools are why we are here. My Wife and I have 3 children attending Plymouth-Canton Schools. Both my wife and I attended and graduated from the schools here. Until recently, we lived in another community. We have experienced Livonia Schools and a Charter School. We felt that our kids would be best served in Plymouth-Canton Schools and would have better life experiences growing up in the wonderful community of Plymouth. So here we are! We love the teachers, we love the schools, and we love Plymouth!

ReplyKING CAKE! Although not well known here in Michigan, King cakes are huge in New Orleans and throughout the Southern States. Keep in mind we know about Paczki because of the Polish population in Michigan, but good luck trying to find Paczki in many other States. Go elswhere and ask for a King Cake and be pleasantly surprised of the varieties and tastes you will find.

ReplyI graduated as a Canton "Chief" myself. My opinion sides with Tim & Mike. If this is so offensive... Keep the name "Chiefs" and change the image to a Fire Chief!

ReplyI don't know all the obstacles but I think it would be great if this home could be fully restored and become a municipal property, cared for by the Plymouth Historical Museum. I'm sure couples would book up weekends for weddings and such.

ReplyBryan, regarless of Party affiliation. I'm sure there are readers that enjoy reading your blogs and those who may hate them. Being a fairly new Plymouth resident and new to 'Patch', I must say that I appreciate your blogs. They make residents think and maybe research for themselves all the facts about our elected officials. Thanks for being passionate about your town! Your blogs have motivated me to research and learn.

Such great history here. I'm glad to see that patrons will get to enjoy it more. The Old Village is a great part of Plymouth.
