Sherri Yezbick-Taylor, Neighbor

Who is Sherri Yezbick-Taylor? Definitely she is an ongoing project...an odd mix of quirks with a great love of life, people and animals, (not necessarily in that order depending on my mood). Like my cat, I am naturally curious. Can be a good thing, but not necessarily! Do I have nine lives? I'll let you know...

I managed to make it through Catholic school and Kalamazoo College, where I started out as a Premed major, then an Art major, then both....aggh. I ended up with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Art. Go figure. My career has consisted of working in the document imaging industry for most of my life, with little side projects such as my own jewelry company and photography. Where does the writing come in, you say? Well, being surrounded all my life with a family of English and Film professors might have had something to do with it. Definitely had to watch my P's and Qs, (and H's and F's....) as well as selected foreign films...

After being promoted to regional manager at Great Lakes Technologies, a company I worked for many moons ago I decided that a company newspaper might be a great and fun way to bring all of the laboratories together. I found that I really enjoyed doing it – a lot more than doing my job, to say the least! A writer was born...?!

I moved to Tyrone Township last year with my husband, our labrador, my aforementioned cat (husband wants to barbeque him), and Pookie, my betta. We really like this area for the people as well as the environment. I look forward to learning and writing about my new home, as I will be able to do being a contributor to the Hartland Patch!
