CJ's Brewing Company Packs in Pizza Lovers on Wednesdays

On any given Wednesday, CJ's Brewing Company makes close to 400 pizzas, according to the restaurant's Manager David Doyle.

And it's all because of $5 Pizza Day.

"It goes all day long, and it's a large, round, one topping pizza for $5," Doyle said.

CJ's, located inside of Plymouth's Compuware Arena, started the special several years ago.

Now the dining area and even take-out is hopping on Wednesdays.

AVL employees Derek Libinski and Brad Bockstanz spend their Wednesday lunch breaks at CJ's.

The duo come for one thing and one thing only - the pizza. They even declined menus while being seated.

Libinski said it was the quality and price of the pizza that brings them back each week.

Since they usually split the pizza, the one topping limit doesn't hinder them - they just get a half and half, each with their favorite topping on a side.

The rush doesn't stop at lunch or even dinner rush times. It carries over to Compuware's Drive-In.

"We'll deliver pizzas to cars at drive in on a golf cart, so that adds another 50 to 100 pizzas (to the total)," Doyle said.
