Kids love this new version of "Hansel and Gretel"

Spotlight on Youth Presents Musical "Hansel and Gretel"

Families LOVE the NEW twist on the classic fairy tale!

Visit forest with Hansel and Gretel in this simply sweet version of the well-known Grimm's fairy tale. Do not be afraid; in this new rendition, Hansel and Gretel are in the company of guardian angels as they go deep into the woods looking for berries. You will meet some very bothersome crows who eat the bread crumbs left by the courageous Hansel. The audience will even be won over by the Witch, who decides to change her ways and provide the family with a treasure chest full of seeds to start the best garden ever! An endearing score by Mimi Sparks provides the delightful tunes "Sing and Dance," "The Magic Within," and "Celebrate" just to name a few.  For those who love happy endings, this show is enchanting for the whole family.

Hansel and Gretel runs one week-end only, Thursday, October  17 through Sunday, October 20 at the beautiful, state-of-the-art Village Theater at Cherry Hill in Canton. Keeping small children in mind, the show is divided into 2, 45-minute acts, with a 15-minute intermission in between. Bring the whole family, wee ones are welcome at Spotlight on Youth!

Director Barbara Bloom of Novi says:   "As with all Spotlight on Youth shows, this show is fun and appropriate for the entire family. It has amusement for the very young and humor that reaches adults as well. Spotlight on Youth is beginning its fifth season and the first as an independent resident company at the Village Theater. Spotlight on Youth produces five shows per season along with classes, summer camps and workshops! The community is welcome to come join the fun!"
